| Shout out to Andrea Coon & her fine staff for all they do. Earlier this month, I stayed at Hampton Inn Tunnel Road for a couple of nights. While I was there, Andrea gave me a couple of souvenirs from their recent renovations. Remember the "welcome to Asheville" that hung on the back wall at the front desk? Andrea gave me those letters now that they are not using those anymore because they have a new backdrop for the front desk area & she also gave me the picture of the Asheville map that hung out in the vestibule area. On one of the nights we stayed, we took time to enjoy the new fire pit out on the outdoor patio and we took a short video clip of it for ya'll. Wrapping Up The 2016 Summer Hampton Tour
| Wrapping up the 2016 Summer Hampton Tour with a full hotel tour of this Hampton Inn that used to be a Holiday Inn which is kind of ironic because when the very first Hampton Inn was built and opened back in 1984, it was owned by Holiday Inn, Inc. Hilton acquired the brand in 1999 in a merger with Promus Hotel Corporation which by that time had ownership of the Hampton brand. Special thanks to Brandy at the front desk, it was nice to meet you & thanks for letting your "Hamptonality" shine through. Hope you all have enjoyed the "Summer 2016 Hampton Tour" video series on my channel as much as I have enjoyed exploring the various Hamptons this summer & even though the summer is coming to a close, I am looking forward to seeing more Hamptons in the near future & when I do, I'll be sure to share those videos with ya'll. US Elevator At A Very Unique Hampton Inn Location In Caryville,TN
| Once an outdoor corridor hotel that has been renovated to be indoor corridor. This Hampton Inn is located on a hill that overlooks a lake with beautiful scenery & live llamas in a gate on the backside hill plus it has a lot of interesting artifacts on the outside grounds with some of them used in the movie Roots & had come from the estate of the author of Roots, Alex Haley. There's also local history inside like the jacket that has a bullet hole in it that was worn by John Ayers in a local whiskey raid. The Ark Encounter in Williamstown, Kentucky Does Have An Elevator
| Yes, the Ark does have a public elevator although it is encouraged to use the ramps and leave the elevator for only those who truly need it. The staff were very friendly and I even got to see the service elevator (that was not operational that day) The Ark Encounter is a great place to visit and tool in explaining how Noah's Ark could have looked liked inside & out. This was a brand new hotel that hadn't even gotten their fitness center equipment fully unwrapped yet but the call station on the 2nd floor for the elevator had two different buttons & the one elevator's fixtures had a white button for the 4th floor but the rest of them were red. Country Driving On The Road To Waltons Mountain in Schuyler, Virginia
| My grandfather got a brand new jeep and so for the 4th of July weekend, we took an overnight road trip to Virginia to "break it in" so to speak. We drove up to Schuyler & then on to Charlottesville. This clip is when we are about 8 minutes away from reaching Schuyler. You will see us pass the house Earl Hamner, Jr. grew up in. He's the one that created the TV series The Waltons. We end the video turning into the parking lot of Earl's former elementary school which is now the home of the Waltons Mountain Museum.
